I built this picker because team advice on video thumbnails never shows the missing numbers. Tick up to six heroes. The note under the grid tells you the role mix. Finn is the only hero whose place cost I will add, at $50.

Does this sim know synergies?

No. It counts roles I assigned from the unit pages. It does not simulate waves, and it will not invent a place cost.

How many heroes can I bring?

The picker stops at six. King BMO's own card note says that hero is limited to two placements, which is separate from this six-hero roster.
